Best caliber for hog hunting

    MY favorite is my marlin 336 in 35 remington, it has the shock and the power to do the job {:eek:)
    PS I use the 200 grain powershoks for the best results.

    Anything other than a 22 rimfire should be okay. Make sure you have well made bullets in the smaller cals, but otherwise pick your poison. They are all good.

    30-06 is a great all around round and would work well. :D

    Many, many hogs have been killed with the lowley old .22LR. Personally I think anything bigger would be a better choice to do the job. Whisper air guns is advertizing their new high powered air gun on TV by shooting, and killing a hog. Just don't use 00 Buck! You can't get enough penitration with that load. Hogs is mean, when I shoot one I want him to lay down and go to sleep on the spot!
