Yeah, I took a hard look at them and steered away simply from an asthetic point of veiw. I actually called a local gun shop that had a varmint version of the Mark II on his shelf but he was such an A-hole over the phone I didn't even go look at it and bought the CZ.

Pretty much. Couldn't believe the attitude I was getting from him when I was asking about the rifle! He must've liked it so much that he didn't really want to sell it. Oh well, I'm sure I'll be overly satisfied with the CZ for the next 30+ years. I am thinking that inevitably, I'm going to HAVE to get a 452 Lux or FS for shooting iron sites. I'll have to wait until my wife warms up to the cash that was spent on this one first...:D

Got the new Bushnell Trophy XLT 3x9 w/ CZ rings yesterday! Sweet scope w/ Circle X reticle. She'll be nice mounted on the 453 when it gets here! Bummer is the rifle will be here before my 14 day period is up for my long gun permit. I guess I'll just have to dream about it until the 8th... "long gun permit"... Dumbest thing I've ever heard... 'Course they do call this "the people's republic of Hawaii".

Good choice fungus; I'm certain you will be happy with your CZ. I plan on a similar purchase sometime very soon, but I'm going for the CZ with the Mannlicher stock. I know it won't be quite as accurate as the American, but damn, it sure is pretty!

Hi Fungus, if you want to learn how to adjust the trigger on the 453 you can go to rimfire forum, look under the CZ forum, and the info to do the adjustment is in one of the "stickies" at the top of the page. Congrats on the new rifle, I have a special (AKA trainer) and you won't believe how accurate they are! Even with bulk ammo they shoot very well!:D Doug

Yeah, they're beautiful rifles! I like the looks of all of them actually! Lux and FS.

Thanks! I'll check it out. I'm gonna give it a whirl outta the box first and see where she needs to go if anywhere... Really looking forward to the single set trigger.

CZ 452 Mannlicher Full Stock is an excellent choice Contenderizer, I own (2) in 22lr and (1) in 22 WMR. They are as accurate or more accurate than the other versions of the CZ 452. As you may have heard, the CZ 455 is phazing out the CZ 452 and many fear the the FS Mannlicher will not be available after the transition. For this reason, I strongly suggest you make your FS purchase in the near future.

That's where I bought my 453. Great service and great pricing! Any doubts just call them up. Super nice to talk to and order over the phone. Even suggested the FFL I might want to go with out here right next to my work who I didn't even know was here.

Don't know for sure if there is anything on adjusting the trigger on the 453 in here, but on rimfire central in the "CZ" section there is a "sickie" on how to do it properly. Once set up it will give you about a 2lb single trigger and "set" 8 to 10
ounces for target shooting. It's a good read!:D Doug

This is my special fungus, I had to refinish it as it looked like it was painted with
dark brown paint! Couldn't have that! I did it with urethane (minwax) and it took about a week and a half to do, I like it!:D shoots good too! Doug

Home sweet home! Picked it up today and I am overwhelmingly impressed. The finish is much better than I anticipated. Went to pick it up and the guy said the CZs were always the easiest because they're the nicest lookin' guns in the safe... Can't wait to shoot it!
