Loaded 50 rds. of 44 Mag to shoot out of a Ruger M77/44. Have had great results with: Lee TL240grSWC over 11.5 gr Herco. but I'm out of Herco. I have tried 8.0Gr of Unique with said bullet. Only so-so accuracy. Thought I would bump it up to 10gr Unique. Took rifle and 10gr loads to range today, couldn't put 4 shots on a paper plate @ 60yds.

Plan on going back tomorrow with proven Herco loads to make sure I don't have gun/scope problem.

My question is, you guys ever load anything that wouldn't group better than 12'' @ 60yds.

10 grains of unique is a pretty stout load for cast boolits in the .44 mag, chances are your boolits are either cast too soft or undersized for the bore. I load the LEE 240 gr 1R flat base sized .430" in my .44 loads over 7 grains of unique for general purpose plinkin, but they will shoot into less than an inch at 25 yds from my 2.5" redhawk alaskan wedged against a sandbag rest. They are runnin maybe 800 fps, which is pretty close to a light .45 colt load and very comfy to shoot from anything. I have run the same boolits as fast as 1200 from my pistols with no leading and decent accuracy, but they are cast harder (water dropped) and unsized (they drop from the mould at .431") and lubed with my homemade boolit lube...

If you can't find Herco, Unique is an excellent choice. Also, Silhouette, WSF, and SR4756.
My .44 Mag likes almost anything with 2400 powder.
