I am going through some gun parts that have been in my boxes for years. Which Browning/FN version had varnished, checkered walnut grips with red painted interior? Capital letters "2R" having about 1/8 inch height stamped inside each. Too fancy for standard military contract. Thanks, Tom in CO

The grips are from a civilian sale Hi-Power, somewhere around 1972. I've seen them, on guns I know to be pristine, from that era. How late they continued, I do not know.

The grips are only checkered without a "B" on the outside. Thanks for the help! Tom in CO
