I am wondering if it would be cheeper to purchase a couple of bullet sizers for the 58 cal Minie Balls instead of bullet molds? I am currently shooting .580" x 395 Minie Balls in my 1861 Springfield replica. I'd like to try .579 or .578" bullets. Where can I find resizing dies? Thanks.

regardless of the mold used, you'll need to size your bullets for the best accuracy.
www.dixiegunworks.com look at the Rapine products. they are priced right, and easy to use. Makes darn good molds, too!

If your musket shoots a 580 OK, I would not go to a smaller diameter. They tend to rattle down the barrel and accuracy suffers. If it ain't broke don't fix it.:)
