can u ID this sabre and language?

    This is something I sent away for thru the mail as an 8 yr. old kid in the late '50s. Can anyone identify it or at least tell me what language it's marked in. Is it worth anything. It is certainly a 'light' sabre but it is surprisingly nasty. As a kid I used to cleanly slice off 1" or so Locust tree saplings with one swing. (Yeah, I was a big kid) Comments welcome, even laughter?!

    The language is Arabic, quite likely a date or serial number. The design is Russian...

    Interesting piece. You should send the pic to a antique sword specialist for assessment.
