In the Philippenes (sp?) you would go out into town one day and not see a single cat or dog anywhere yet all the BBQ vendors were out in the streets. Good eating.

BBQ possum and coon are good also. As is gator tail.

Came face to face with a bird eating spider over there once. Scared me to the point that I put a clip of .45ACP's into it. Hate even looking at spiders let alone eating them.

Lot's of things are a matter of convention, taste and hunger level.

My late father-in-law was a guest of the Japanese for most of WWII.
He said that once in a rare while a dog would wander into the camp.
    Those were feast days -

That's very true. The situation determines the meal.

"The sting, particularly of Pepsis formosa, is among the most painful of any insect, but the intense pain only lasts for 3 minutes. Commenting on his own experience, one researcher described the pain as "…immediate, excruciating pain that simply shuts down one's ability to do anything, except, perhaps, scream. Mental discipline simply does not work in these situations." In terms of scale, the wasp's sting is rated near the top of the Schmidt Sting Pain Index, second only to that of the bullet ant and is described by Schmidt as "blinding, fierce [and] shockingly electric".

Hey maybe we should capture a few thousand of these and let them loose on the insugents.
Or would that also be against the rules of war.

Ya'll must check out the Schmidt Sting Pain Index though. Pretty interesting.

I have mixed emotions about cats. Cant decide if I like them better as bait or as targets.:D I think I said that somewhere else on here, oh well. Still holds true.

Oddly enough, chicken doesn't taste like chicken anymore. They actually made chicken not taste like chicken. It now tastes like watery rubber boot. How the hell can they do this when everything else tastes like chicken!

Has Andrew Zimmern joined the board? :)

I periodically threaten to eat our Jack Russell, but in reality if someone tried to eat her I'd shoot them, and have a LOT of meat to eat suddenly!
