It looks fine for state parks, state and national forests, road side rest areas and state wildlife management areas - but NOT in State Wildlife Sanctuaries.
I carry a Glock 17 quite easily in an IWB Super Tuck from Cross Breed Holsters. Horsehide pad against the skin for sweat protection, and a kydex formed holster for the pistol. When I add a couple of magazines and a BUG and a BUBUG, I also slip on suspenders under my shirt to hold up all the artillery - Tee shirt, suspenders, outer shirt - Tee or Hawaiian - is quite comfortable with cargo shorts.
For OC, I like the Itac Defense locking paddle holster, but you may not want to do that in a MAY issue state - -
By no means is this an anti-gun statement, but OC in MA is begging for attention. I like the idea of CC here.. only because the people who might plan on doing you harm, HARDLY expect you to have a gun in this state... until you pull one out. I'm one of the ones looking forward to nationwide OC and no one bats an eye over it... may be time to move to a state that has such.. lol
Two holsters makers worth looking at are Crossbreed and Foxx. Just replaced my all Kydex with a "Little FoxX" Hybrid Holster for my XD sub 40. For a full size pistol, I'd look at the Crossbreed Super Tuck. For a sub compact size I'd look at Foxx's Little Foxx Hybrid.
