A pawn shop is closing. They are selling everything at bargain prices. I bought a Chiappia 1911 .22. Have not fired it. It is not a high end gun by any means. That said, can anyone tell me about them?good luck:)

they are awesome plinkers. and accurate. I wanted to get a conversion kit for my 45 and found this chiappa was less than the kit, so I bought a hole gun. I am very happy with it.

THX for the good news Fleetwood. They had one left at $199 bucks. Didn't need another .22 pistol. But you know a gun nut can not pass on a god deal. good luck:)

I like to shoot mine and it is fun and accurate. The only problem I have with mine (and I have read that it is common) is that it has a horrible trigger pull. I guess its not really a problem, cause it is supposed to wear down some after a while. I have probably only put 300-400 rounds through mine. I am hoping that the trigger breaks in pretty soon.

I think that $199 is a good price, I gave $265 for mine just about a year ago!

THX for the post. Have not shot it outdoors yet. I fired it into a trap. The only .22 ammo on hand was Remington bulk.:( The gun jammed on every shot. I went to the old tried and true semi-auto break in. I sprayed it full of WD40 and after a few shots it never jammed again. Being a 1911 shooter it does feel good in the hand. The trigger breaks between 6 and 7 pds. good luck:)

Sometimes it would try and chamber 2 rounds at once.

I fire mine two or three times a week, about 2 or 3 hundred rounds at a time, assorted Rem, Winchester, etc bulk packs. It invariably needs to be cleaned before 100 rounds or it gets dirty and starts to stovepipe frequently. Before getting dirty it never misses a beat. I just keep an acid brush and some solvent next to my shooting spot and give it a swab. I'll say more after a couple thousand rounds though. I too got it as opposed to getting a conversion kit for a 1911.

THX guys finally got to shoot the 1911 .22. I fired 100 rds of Stingers in it. It was great never missed a beat. I was really impressed with the gun. I will need to find another .22 round the Stingers are very expensive here. They are $6.99 for 50. It seems to prefer the hot .22s.good luck:)
