Does anyone out there have a good video on youtube.com of the correct way to disassemble and clean a 1911? I trust you guys, but not some dude with a screwdriver pryin' away at it, so to speak. If you know of one, please provide the address on the web. Also, I've heard of "field stripping." What is this? Say I go bang 150 rounds one day, please inform me of the correct, and effective, way to strip it down and clean it.

    Thanks a bud, folks.

I would add that when you are ready to disassemble, have a good non marring mat or soft bench surface and a small parts pan or bin. Careful for that recoil spring ;)

As far as field stripping goes, here's a pretty decent "how-to". Much easier to link than type all night ! :D
