I have been offered this gun. I would like some opinions as to what it may be worth and what you general opinion of it is. It was refinished about 20 years ago. All the parts look to be correct except for the magazine, barrel, and grips.

I must respectfully disagree. I do understand its not original and has been refinished but I have sold a few "parts" guns in alot worse shape for 800+

Just another opinion , because of the condition and the navy stamp, I would ask a bit more than 1k.
The refinish has certainly taken away most of it's value , but its still a nice looking shooter.
If I was still collecting old 1911s I would pay the 1k.

Just my two cents

Reblued guns like this are currently bring in the 25oo dollar range on *********. This gun is very rare and quite desirable in any condition. I think I am going to pass on it because it would take about 1000 to0 1500 to find the correct parts.

Even though it has been refinished, and it has some replacement parts, it is still a U.S. Navy. That fact alone raises the value into the $1500 - $1800 range... there were only 15,007 of them made, and a lot fewer than that number are extant today.

To give you an example of what yours originally looked like, I have attached pictures of my Model 1911 U.S. NAVY. I have a standing offer of $12,000 for it.
