I am looking in the 33rd edition Blue Book of Gun Values. If I am looking at the right one, it shows a nickel version, not SS, and the value of that one, new in box, at about $1400. This book has so many variations of the 1911 by Colt, that it is hard to know which one I am looking at.
Is it a good gun? It is a Colt, it is a good gun!!
EDIT: If it is the Government Model Series 70 Model O, then it is only worth about $915, for one that is 100%.
Thanks for your reply. The gun is the new 0 model, mk 4 series 70 in stainless steel. The gun is NIB in the custom shop box and white sleeve.
