colt .22 cal. lighting

    Hello I own a colt .22 cal. octagon barrel lighting sn# 41091 and from what I've seen in most post about them they all blue barrel and so on but from what I can tell from mine it is nickel with brass end sight and loader area is there anyway I can find out if this was made that way and what year it was made in or if someone before my father bought it over 35yrs ago had this done to the gun :confused:

    Shes an antique! Nice gun bro. I think its the original finish, judging by some google images I saw of the gun. But then again, I'm no colt expert, not a big fan of handguns. Post some pics. If you don't know how, go to and upload your photos there, after you've created an account.

    41091 was made in 1899.
