a friend at work has a Colt nickel plated .25ACP with real mother of pearl grips. It has the date january 28, 1910 on it. It also has patent 1903 on it. Was the finish and grips a factory option back then ? He likes the heck out of it because it belonged to his granddad

From what I can find in my books, the model 1903 was never made in .25ACP. However, the Vest Pocket model 1908 Hammerless was made in .25 ACP. Manufactured from 1908 - 1946.

    100% in nickel = $695
    98% = 475
    95% = 335
    90% = 285
    80% = 240
    70% = 215
    60% = 175

Add 10% for pearl grips. Add 100% if marked US Property.
The gun could be had in nickel or blue.

My book is a liitle old, 1998, so prices will vary.
