Colt Series 70 MK IV

    I am new to this forum, so please bear with me.
    I have the opportunity to purchase a Colt Series 70 MK IV .45ACP that has never been fired. The gun is in 100% condition but the box and all accompanying paperwork are not available. It is blued with the original walnut stocks. I can purchase this unit for $650. Is this a good deal? I am uneducated about these particular pistols so any information will be most helpful.

    Yes, buy it. My book says $600, but it is woefully behind on Colt pricing. I see these fetching 900-1200.

    Thanks for the help, guys. I purchased this beauty over the weekend. According to the s/n this unit was manufactured in 1976. The only thing missing is the box. Beautiful pistol nonetheless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
