Got this book about a month ago, and just getting down to reading it. It's like 12 inches wide 24 inches tall and weighs 7-10 pounds(could be more, I'm not good at guestimating weight).

It's 412 pages and has "full-color illustrations of every fighting plane from 1933 to 1945".

Lists planes from the Aichi D3A to the Yokosuka P1Y.

Has info on what nation a plane flew for, who made it, what type( fighter, bomber, etc), what engine it had, wingspan, length, height, weight, max. speed, ceiling, range, armament, and crew.

The pics are black and whites, with color illustrations shown from the side, topview, and looking straight on at the front end.

Seems like it's gonna be a purdy neat read/reference/pretty picture book. Anyone else read it or looked at all the purdy pictures?

Got it at Walden's, don't member how much...around 15-20 bucks.

If it helps in the search the publishing company is White Star Publishers and the authors are Enzo Angelucci--Paolo Matricardi--Pierluigi Pinto.

    The Whirraway's designator was CA-2.

It was an Australian fighter built on a basic Harvard (AT-6) airframe.
