Yet, this has been said before, and the same jackwagons keep getting RE-ELECTED! And we keep re-electing the same republicans full of bull crap that lie and lie and lie and lie and lie their way back in to office term after term.

I'll believe it when I see it. MOST of the republicans up there are useless.

    The machine won't allow change.

Here's a list of the 66 House Republicans (including 28 Tea Party freshman) who voted AGAINST the Boehner-Reid-Obama compromise. I won't fault these people for what the other Republicans did.
It looks to me like 85% of the House of Representatives is worthless.

    Easy Hogger !!

    None !

    1. The "Tea Party" isn't a "party" in the accepted political sense. Rather its a coalition of like-minded individuals of every race, creed and political persuasion expounding changes they'd like to see in the attitudes and governing philosophies of current office holder and the President.

    2. The American public got sold a bill of shoddy goods with the "settlement" both sides are so estatic about. There are no "cuts" in spending or the debt. Or any concrete resolutions to do so. Rather the "savings" touted are plans to spend less at some time in the future in exchange for increasing our debt load now.

    3. Of course both sides want to blame this on the "Tea Party", because when the public finally realizes - in their tax obligations and inflation - they'll want blood. >MW

You're right of course. No I blame the other 174 Republicans who allowed it through. And of course, the democrats aren't blameless either.

Has the tea party made an impact? Yes.

Is it too little, too late? Yes.

Congress is beyond saving. And now we get to reap the benefits of our apathy.

I'm also a member of the tea party and I feel honored to have the likes of John Kerry blame us for screwing up their plans to destroy America. They've accused us of acting like spoiled children but it looks to me like that whole bunch is throwing one big temper tantrum. Perhaps they need a time out.

They're grandstanding. Kerry is grandstanding. They're putting on a show.

They still got what they wanted.

We're another $4 Trillion in debt!

    This was not a win.

Whooptee frickin' doooooooo, the tea party made a stink, made a stand...... and it still went through.

    We lose. Again.

You're being distracted by the show. The tea party will NOT be allowed to make a difference.

First, you must all remember Ann Coulter's rule that liberals blame conservative for what they (the liberals) are doing. Example: They blame the GOP for holing the black man down, when in fact they were against emancipation in the first place and with the welfare system, enslave them almost as effectively as the old southern masters.

So when they blame the Tea Party's for the downgrade, I know who is really to blame, follow the fingers pointing back to the Libs.

    Way to go Brother!!!!

The trouble is when we see Republican and think Conservative. I for one am replacing GOP & Dem with lib and conservative to better articulate my position.

Just remember, in the 1760's it took a number of shots before we had enough people willing to forcefully make a break with England. This time will not be different, but I do think our next election (should we still have it) will be our last best chance to take control out of the RINO's and Libs hands.

If we do not succeed in 2012, we may be lost. I do think enough of Americans are starting to awaken.

My Rep in the House and my 2 Senators voted no on this bill. Go Brooks, Sessions and Shelby. Still some common sense in AL. I will still continue to push for less spending and a balanced budget without raising taxes.

Reforming the tax codes would be something I would like to see. But, how can you trust the politicians to rewrite the tax code?

    Go Tea Party!!!
