I was looking a few Dan Wesson's on an auction site and they all appeared to have a crack on the left side of the frame, between the cylinder & the trigger guard. They were all 357's. Is this normal? Is it safe?
I looked at another dozen Dan Wesson's, but the pictures were dark or fuzzy, couldn't see a crack.

Remove the grip (screw located in the butt) and you will see the rest of the sideplate and its associated screws. That allows you to get into the innards and mess with them. :D

That's not a crack. It's a finely fitted joint. Normal.
