Nope didn't call it, just happen to look out the window and see it. it was only 45-50 yrds. I used the corner of my house to steady the shot. I actually have to laugh cause I do go out trying for these and then one walks through my pasture in broad daylight. I have a lot around me I hear them almost every night. But my success calling is not so good. Saw four just the other day but way to far for a shot.

pretty rifle and scope combo. what do you hunt them for...meat? I have seen a few here but not many. dogs run them off most of the time.

I hunt them for a couple reasons, one they have totally devistated the pheasant population, and they killed my daughters cat. So revenge and its fun too! :D I wish I could have had the hide tanned but the exit hole was huge. Need to stop using hollow points and look into ballistics.

Seems like they're moving in. Over the past few years, we've seen a decline in the herd as 'yotes and hogs continue to grow. :(

With a .22-250, shooting things on which you seek revenge, consider a 52 or 55gr BTHP. The boat tail gives a ballistic advantage, the 'hollow point' is just description, as this is a target bullet, and expands poorly, if at all, compared to hunting bullets.
Oh, yeah- if you want the pelt, shoot 'em in the head!
Congrat's on 'Blooding' your rifle; nice pic- LOUSY snow! Best, from Texas, Terry
