Called the Ortgles after the original manufacturer Heinrich Otigies, Ortgles was purchased by Deutsche Werke in the early 1920's Well made and well finished but in my opinion poorly designed. The gun has been extensively discussed in this forum and you can get more back ground by using the search feature. The guns never sold very well in its home land and a large number were exported to the U.S. in the 1930's. A very few were issued to the Third Reich Finance Dept., other wise I don't believe they saw any other use in the German Government. I will let others delve on the value, one word of caution do not carry this gun with a round in the chamber, especially if you want to pocket carry it. It could very easily ruin your entire day and perhaps change your manner of speaking.
