I am looking to make dummy rounds for the m-1 carbine. I do not have the specific .30 carbine loading die, but I do have the .308 loading die. Can I the .308 die for pressing the carbine rounds? Thanks for the help!!!

No. The neck portion of the 308 die is too far up in the die for the 30 carbine case to reach.

If all you want is dummy rounds, you could just superglue the bullet in an un-sized case.

  3. You need the resize die. Remove the decapping pin, so you leave the dead primer in. Check a Loading Manual. You'll find all the dimensional specs. I'm not near a manual right now. If you're not loading the 30 carbine for real, just buy some snap caps..
