  1. I am thinking of buying this scope off amazon

    Found here

    So, is this a good buy?

    Is this a decent brand?

    I live in western washington and rain / moisture is a issue and I want to get a 6 - 24x50 mm Mil Dot Rifle Scope that wont break the bank.

    I have a Savage .308 but I might get my hands on a savage in 300 win.

    :confused::confused::confused:

    anyways I appreciate all feedback.

    Thank you!

    I'm not familiar with that brand.
    I saw that one of the better known optics companies just put out a fairly cheap 6x20 or 6x24 scope.
    Ol' Phartness prevents me from remembering who the hell it was. :eek: :rolleyes: :D

    It's been my experience that you get what you pay for, especially in optics.
    Buy once, cry once. If you are going to shoot a lot, spend the money and get a good scope.
    Also, be aware that there are a lot of fakes out there. :mad:

    Leupold released this counterfeit warning last year.

    There are also some fake ACOGs & Aimpoints that Obamas buds, the Chinese are putting out as well. :mad:

    The Vortex scope tested has a retail price of $509. The scope listed by HTM has a listed retail price of $200. This is a considerable price/quality difference.

    Considering optics, with very few exceptions, you get what you pay for.
