I want to put a scope on an in line M/L but I'm concerned about eye relief. I changed to a red dot on my 1100 due to a flinch developed after being 'bitten'

I want the scope because I need magnification - two of my stands require long shots. Up to four or five power would be OK - seven wouldn't hurt but I'd sacrifice magnification for FOV.

Most eye relief I find is between three and four inches - I'd like six inches.

    Appreciate any recommendations.

To get that amount of eye relief you will have to go with a forward mounted scope. Burris makes scopes called 'IER' for 'Intermediate Eye Relief' that should fit the bill.

Mounting it might present a challenge.

Luepold makes one as well. Here is a picture. You'll find additional information if you look for "scout scopes" as this design was created by Jeff Cooper with his Scout rifle concept.
