    So, my neighbor stopped in today and asked if I wanted to join her visiting the serpentarium, I said sure...grabbed the camera and got a neat shot of this deadly lad called the eyelash viper

    Gee, it looks a lot bigger than an eyelash . . . I wonder where they got the name . . .
    of course, Great Blue Herons aren't blue, and Purple Finches are far from purple . . .

    Yesterday I was feeding my dogs by my barn, Had on sandals. Dogs walked right by a small(18") timber rattler in the grass. He was so well camoflauged that I came within one step of stepping on him. Snakes don't usually bother me if I see them first but that was close yesterday.
