Well, we kicked the coffee styles around here at bit - so I figured I'd start this one.

My typical adult beverage is good bourbon over ice. However, recently I've been on a "dark rum" kick. Found a real good one from Martinique called St James Extra Old.

How about the rest of you, what's your poison?

I guess my favorite would be a double Glenlivet on the rocks.

Second to that, I like a sweet Manhattan on the rocks, made with a good Canadian, i.e., Crown Royal.

Third would be Bushmills Irish on the rocks.

Used to be a Margarita on the rocks and Dos Equis. Now it is iced tea.

Since the question is what your favorite is, as opposed to what I drink the most of I'd have to say a single malt scotch called Laphroaig (straight). When I can't afford it, I go for Glenlivet straight. I won't mix a single malt with anything.

My favorite whiskey is Tulamore Dew, an Irish Rye. You should try it, Marlin. It might wean you off that old Bushmill stuff. :D

For sipping in a snifter, I'll take Celtic Crossing.

Sackett, you have taste, in beverage, if not company!
Personally, I'm a sour mash bourbon kinda guy, and George Dickel could be my host, forever!
I drink scots whisky, on occasion, and would find no fault with your choices; assuming,, of course they are neat, or rocks, with no adulteration.
What are these other heathens thinking???

Used to be Jack Daniel's Black with quinine. (tonic) An Australion LT. advisor gave me my first one. That's all all it took.

One thing about it, no one will take your drink from the table after tasting it. lolol.

At a forward basecamp, booze was precious and ya didn't want anyone snatching a lonely glass.

Now I stick with water or iced tea.

I set sail with Captain Morgan any time I can.

Haven't had many mixed drinks, but a liquid Cocaine is darn good too.

    Whew! What a question!

All depends upon the situation. I like single malt old enough to drink itself. I like port the same age. I like a variety of beers, including some that I have in storage that's 10 years old. (Thomas Hardy's...wonderful stuff that ages well!)

I have to admit. While some people can be wine connesieurs, I'm a bit of a beer connesieur. I brew my own and collect interesting beers.

Hey beer guy, like Trappists Ales? Local place here has had a good selection of all the Chimay's recently - very good!! The other beer in my fridge at all times is Dead Guy Ale from Rogue.

For Scots Wiskey, I prefer Dalmore - or Knockando if I can find it. Either over ice.

Bourbon - the all time favorite, as mentioned earlier, would be Knob Creek.

Chimay red label with Chimay cheese!

I love Trappist ales. Now that Georgia has entered the 21st Century with beer laws, I don't have to drive to Chattanooga to buy decent high-gravity beers!
