That you most likely can't get now, like..............Grape Nehi, Taco Doritos, Nabisco Devil's Food Squares, Tom's Cheese Crackers (remember the ones stacked vertically?? That's the ones I'm talking about), cokes in glass bottles, what a wonderful treat! Anyone remember Doo Dads? What a great snack mix. Sadly, it is gone too.

What are your missing snack or drink favorites from back in the day??

Southern Maid donuts in Shreveport made the first "filled" donuts which were donuts fried with the hole left in the center and then cherry, apple or pineapple pie filling was placed on the top of the donut on the hole.

I had to quit the real thing three years ago!

I miss Oreo Cookies. Mint flavor were the best. I love them with a glass of whole milk! Nothing hits the spot better, in my opinion.

BerryBlue Koolaid. I think the got rid of it b/c it looked like windshield wiper fluid.
Also there was a BBQ sauce called CaliQ. It freak'n rocked but I think it was only around for a couple years.

Pepsi Twist (That stuff was pretty darn good). I actually like Coca-Cola more, but Pepsi Twist was worth buying. I don't know why they quit making it. Mountain Dew Live Wire. Lucky Strikers (I don't know if they quit making them, but I can't find them at the grocery store anymore).

Double Cola. It was big in my home area then in 62 it disappeared from our market and I haven't seen it since. Shakey's pizza in El Paso Texas. I don't know if they are still there or not and I have been in other Shakey's but it wasn't the same.

I miss crystal pepsi and Jalapeno cheddar 3Ds. Anyone remember "O'Boisies" sour cream and onion potato chips. Those were the bomb...

For me, it's the seasonal things. I want Starburst jelly beans more than just at Easter. I want white fudge-covered Oreos other than just at Christmas.

And I wish Ale-8 were available everywhere. It's the best soda there is, bar none. Unfortunately, the further you get from KY, the harder it is to find. I always stock up when I pass through.
