federal lightning ammo

    picked some up today $1.47 for 50 rnds has anyone tried this?

    It's my absolute favorite. Red box or gray box? (They were in red, then went to gray, but I think they went back to red).

    It's definitely toward the top of the value-priced .22LR. I prefer the Winchester ammo, but only because I stocked up pretty well when I caught it on sale a while back. I would have bought just as much of the Federal, too.

    Never had any problems. Been shooting it since it was called Dyna-flite, in the early 70s. They've changed the name three times and the box design at least 5, but it's still stock number 510. I currently have at least 20,000 rounds of it stuck back. It feeds and functions in all my 22s, and is at least as accurate as I am.

    That's what I was thinkin too; It's almost $3/bx around here. I shoot Federal for almost all of my rimfire needs unless its for the Mosquito, then I have the MiniMags.

    Yes you should. I am gonnal go try to get 5K rounds. 5k for 147 bucks plus I get my wifes associate discount, another 10% hacked off the top..:D

    Oh yeah, $15 per 500 is a darn good price, in that qty, I'm paying over $20 and that is in the bulk packs.
