Didn't think I'd ever, but, I bought one, the Remington R1 1911. Price: $659. The pic doesn't do it justice, sorry, my phone camera isn't good enough, and/or the lighting was bad.
Would have liked to get the centennial version, but, it was $500 more, so, no go on that.
I also picked up 500 rounds for it too.
Now, I'll have to start saving my pennies for some Woodnut wood grips!

You are right, of course. I should have asked you. The flip side, I want to support my local shop, but, money is money. I don't even know what the transfer fee would be, but, probably not $70.
I will try to remember to hit you up first next time.
I charge 15.00 to do a transfer. I dont get what the big deal is.
