Finally got a 1911. Kimber Raptor II 3" barrel. I will post a pic when I can figure out how.(not sure how to resize the original photo) I should have bought a clue but I ran out of $$ after I bought the gun. Any recommendations on practice and defense rounds?

  3. Looks good how's it shoot

My recomendation for playing ammo is Winchester White Box
The best I have found so far for defense is Hornady TAP it turns out the most foot pounds of energy and nearly Zero muzzle flash

Ok, this one is mine.:D Still don't have this pic posting thing mastered. I don't think the grip is actually that long. (Had to do some stretching & skewing to get to fit?) There has to be an easier way to post pics other than the way I went about it.

The manual says I'm to fire 400-600 rounds for the break-in period. Does this mean it might not shoot straight until it is broke in?

  10. No it usually means that it will take that much for it to loosen up the slide springes will lighten and the hammer spring will lighten up trigger will feel better and the safety and magazine release will be easier and so on

    That's ok then.

  12. It will fell a lot better after 500+rounds last pistol I bought was my XD-45 it was my new self defense gun. My first thing I did was abuse it first day at the range. I feed it 500 rounds of FMJ's and 200 rounds of JHP's with out cleaning or disassembling. It withstood it and never failed. I cleaned it lubed it and now I know that it can take abuse plus it is going to be their for me when I need it. And after that first day to the range the trigger felt better slide was a little easier as well as the magazine and slide release.
