I just received a double barrel shotgun that is stamped "Forehand Arms Co. Worcester, Mass. patd May 16, '97" The serial number is 6658 and the barrel is stamped "Improved twist". Does anyone know what this gun may be worth? I was instructed that it is to be handed-down to my son, but was still wondering the value. Thanks for any help!

Assuming its clean and tight and no cracks in the wood about 200.

And while we're handing, let's not do any shooting. The gun is not safe for modern ammunition, regardless of "low brass" loadings.

If in good shape it's good for 2 1/2 inch black powder loads tho.
