Am I the only one who realizes that no war was ever won by not send as many troops as a nation could bring to bear. Why are they screwing around in Afganistan? Either send them the stuff they need or pull the heck out. Why are the troops being put in a position to fight less than fully? Either open it up and let them get what they need to win or just get them out of there, we don't need another Vietnam type of war in which bureacratic politicians (congress) are dictating the strategy. Let the President do what he needs or think he needs to do and get the job done one way or another. Our troops only need ONE Comander-In-Chief. Not 500 of them bickering over over what brand tampons they want to wear when they go to "work.":mad::mad:

General asks for 40K and Obama sends 13K. Just so he can say he did something but not enough to win.

We need a complete withdrawl from both Iraq and Afghanistan. Both of those wars were unnecessary and both are unwinnable. They are a huge drain on american money and troops and resources. Over 4,000 troops killed and the list is growing daily. Both wars could have been easily avoided, IMO, by using undercover operatives to 'take care of Sadaam and the Taliban leaders". Now we are locked in both countries with no way out.

How did america get in such a shape in such a short time?

1st of all Senator Frank Church (D-ID) in 1975 intelligence committee forced Ford to issue Executive Order 11905 to ban U.S. sanctioned assassinations of foreign leaders. You recall Clinton lobbing missiles into the sand box and that never stopped 9-11. Again proving we need boots on the GROUND!

Suggest you read "Commies" A Journey Through the Old Left, the New Left and the Leftover Left. Many of the foot soldiers started their education career in "The Little Red School House" in Greenwich Village as far back as 1924. When they graduated K12, they were all leftist and then moved onto into the universities. The majority of the current WH Staff and our Prez were educated by the foot soldiers of "The Little Red School House". The author of this book Ronald Radosh, was a graduate and certified leftist. He help organize the seeds of revolution on our college campuses. Later in his adult life, he did a "mea culpa, mea maxima culpa," and therefore the book "Commies". If interested read this: http://www.nytimes.com/books/first/r/24radosh.html, hopefully it will lead to you purchasing the book, you will be amazed on the STUDENTS who graduated from this school.

Do you know how to boil a frog? If you inserted a frog into boiling water, he would jump out. BUT if you inserted him in cold water and then slowly turned up the heat.

Love your country, BUT never trust your government.

Ergo: why we need boots on the ground!

I agree. Didn't Obamalamadingdong say the important war was Afganistan, and he would concentrate there:confused:? He is still celebrating winning the election and making personal appearances to think about a war. He put a lot of time and resources into chicago's bid for the Olympics:rolleyes:, and that is certainly more important than our soldiers lives.

It seems, not only do our "leaders" not learn from the past, they don't learn anything! If I hear Iraq and Afganistan aren't going to become another Viet Nam one more time, my head's gonna explode. All 3 are and were unwinable because: we weren't willing to commit to an all out war. We were never before faced with an enemy who didn't follow the rules. We can't reconcile winning wars and being nice guys. We get confused between national interests and special interests. The media gives away the battle plans before the fight starts. We assume the enemy is stupid because they live in caves and throw stones and we underestimate their resolve. Put Ike in the White House, Davy Crockett in Congress and Patton in charge of the military and the war would be over in a week...and the US would actually win one.

True, true, and true! Give our troops what they need, leave our generals alone, stop telling the media what we are doing, and let the professionals take care of business.

Oh but they did learn. Look at what they have done for personal aganda. You got to give em credit where it is due here. Most of these younger politicians are right out of the unpopular war hippie movement. That being said here these politicians are running with the same crowd the ran with in college. Free love and lets live in peace type crap. They learned real well from their past. They found ot you cant get any where by not batheing and protesting and smokin herb. You ha to get a law degree and go into politics. Find way to push their ideas on a ussuspecting nation and then cover it up with the law. If you ask me they learned to well.
