Just checking to see if I broke the Golden Rule of C&R collecting.I went to the local gun show yesterday looking for a 03-A3 to go with my Garand and came home with a Remington Model 541-S 22 cal.I wanted one of these back in the 70's but could not afford it then and barely can now.Is it OK to put this in my Gun Cabinet beside the Garand. Absolutely not Benny! You need to box that thing up right now, and ship it to me!
Good catch there - I have been eye-balling those rifles for years, and have always wanted one myself!

Bob,There where two at the show, one had a 3x9 Redfeild Scope in about 95% condition for 700.00 and could be bought for 650.00.The one I purchased was from a man walking around with it in 99% condition without scope but had Redfield Rings on it for 350.00.Which one would you have bought?Maybe I can find that special 03 in two weeks at the next show. Definately a good buy. I have lately seen some in fairly well used condition going $400 to $450.

The 541-S looks like the Model 700 Remington except it has rosewood fortip, grip cap,and buttplate and walnut stock.Benny in cold NC
