I have a customer that does business with a military base. They were needing some plastic fire sprinkler pipe and fittings. One of the fittings they requested cost 80 bucks each. I gave them an alternate of two fittings to make the one they were looking for.

    Saved 'em 3000 dollars. :)

    Good. ;)

At least you don't operate like the government with their $200 hammers.

but today was "stupid guy thing" day. you really screwed up. LOL

I help customers save a ton of money on a regular basis. it feels good and they do remember you for it. unlike when I saved our co. a bunch of money when I was stationed in Ft. Benning and we were cleaning up Homestead after hurricane Andrew. they wanted to replace the transmission on a Case ft. end loader but I fixed it in 2 hours on my own time. not even a thank you from anyone.

Well at least YOU know, that does count for something and sometimes there might be someone else that also notices whether they say it or not.

Your biggest asset is often your reputation. :)

Bobitis, thank you for saving OUR money. It's all too easy to just dismiss it and say it's the government's money, but think about where the government gets its money. :D
