Well, after much trial and tribulation, I'm starting graduate school tonight. Luckily the post-9/11 GI Bill and my employer will pay for most of it; only about $5-8K in student loans by the end of it. It's going to be a busy two years coming up. I'm just really hoping that I'll get some educational value out of it.

Good luck with it, man, but........C'mon, who cares about the educational aspect, it's hopefully the increased monetary worth, and bottom line pay that counts.

As long as it isn't sociology or what passes for education these days you should find some value.

Thanks guys. The first class is over. Wasn't that bad but neither earth shaking. The main thing is of course building my qualifications to make more money, but I do have to gain some new skills on the way...

Yes what is the program? I am seriously considering a masters in International Studies with a focus on Eastern Europe. I'd love some time to weigh my options, but I need more Russian, and I really don't want to take a break between classes as I will forget everything :D.

My son, Brian, will finish his Ph.D. in computer engineering at Texas A&M in the Spring. He's looking forward to living where he can have his safe and guns and be able to afford more. He's worked hard for his Ph.D. We're real proud of him. Good luck with yours.

Thanks. I'm working on an MBA at a small private university; one night a week and one Saturday a month for a little over two years. It's been eight years since my bachelors, so getting back into the swing of things may take some doing...
