Looking for info on the above manufacturer. Have a heavily engraved cap and ball rifle with his name on it also the name of a Theodore Elmer inlaid in silver and the initials of a Lucuis Quintius Cincinnatus Elmer (1793-1883) of Bridgeton, New Jersey also inlaid in silver.

A percussion, double-barreled pistol, made in Ireland by a D. Kilpatrick, sold at auction for $805. Might be related.
Go to http://www.amoskeag-auction.com/69/11.html

I've checked my old and new copies of Flayderman's Guide to Antique American Firearms and, at least in the index, find no Kilpatrick listed. Flayderman's is THE source to begin such sources.

I'd suggest you search the internet deeper than I did. An internet search can often uncover information that you may otherwise never get.

Both Kilpatrick references are correct, they are the same feller. He mad firearms in ireland and then came to america and applyed his trade.
