    Hopkins Allen Saftety Police .22 top break

    Patent Aug 21, 1908

    7 shot, 4" barrel with auto extractor.

    Serial # D6009--all parts match

    This is a mill to nickel finish?? should be blue??

    Only one visable scratch with no pitting..

    great to excellant condition and fires wonderfully.

    would like value and year if available..

    the H&A Safety Police model was made between about 1905 and 1915. that about as close as any body can get as there has been no recearch done on H&A serial number (that i know of).

    i believe the actual patent date should read aug. 21,1906

    Stick to standard velocity .22's in that gun; it was not made for "high speed" or any of the modern "hot" .22 LR loads.

    regular .22 shorts is all it will get...not to many of these and don't want to break it..
