Just acquired this H&R model 650 and I need to find a 22 mag cylinder. I have the product number below. I check Numrich who has it listed "Out of Stock". Does anyone know of a good source?

Cylinder, .22 Mag, 6 Shot, Nickel
    Product No. 276250

    Thanks,
    Floyd

    Floyd,
    Good luck!
Numrich has been sold out for at least a few years.
They are scarce, to bad, I just sold my spare a couple months ago. $85 I believe.
I have bought a lot of spare cylinders over the years, only found 2 nickel mag cylinders, and 1 nickel lr cylinder. You just don't see them.
Keep watching the auctions, and you may luck out someday.
You can always buy a mag cylinder for one of the blue H&R's.
It will function in your 650 fine, just won't match finish wise.
When you display it, put the lr cylinder back in.
    I have 8 H&R convertibles, here's a pic of my model 650

Thanks for the reply James, 8 wow! thats a big collection. If they all look like the one in the photo above you have a very nice collection.
I kind of thought this was going to be difficult. I like your idea to purchase the blue model cylinder from another model. I assume the 649 model would be fine. I wonder how hard it would be to have the cylinder nickeled. Thanks again for the info. I hope to have mine out by the end of the month and see how she shoots.

    Floyd,
Lots of people may be tired of seeing them, but I'm not tired of showing them off!
    Here's my other convertibles.
If you decide to buy a blue cylinder, I have one that functions perfectly, but someone took a bunch of the bluing off where the caliber is stamped. It would make a perfect candidate for being replated.
or just shoot it as is.
    Jim

James...very nice collection, I can see why you like this manufacturer. I appreciate you showing me these photos. Do you fire these frequently and if so have you experienced any mechanical problems?
I would be interested in the cylinder, how much are you asking for it? I'm not sure what it will run to re-plate, I will look into it on my end.
    Thanks again,
    Floyd

    Floyd,
I have never fired the 10", and only fired the 4.5" a few times.
The rest of them I have shot.
Health issues have kept me from any shooting for quite some time, but they are all very good shooters, not target accuracy, but still better than I am capable of taking advantage of!
Have had no problems with any of the convertibles!
Sent you a PM, so check your messages.

I'm hijacking the H&R thread a little, but, I do have one more convertible that I don't show very often.

I can nickel plate your cylinder. If the metal finish matches the gun's finish (new or like new cylinder), all I have to do is strip the bluing, and plate it. I can't guarantee a surface finish match, as I don't have an FFL, and can't accept the frame.

    Floyd and Bill DeShivs,
The 650s had a matte, electroless nickel finish and the cylinders were high polish nickel.

Here's another finish comparison pic of my 650.
Frame on mine seems to have more of a polished finish than the example Jim Hauff is showing.

Jim, what model # do you have shown here?

Floyd, I've got the cylinder all boxed up, and ready to go!
