I am wondering if anyone would be able to tell me where abouts I could get a WWI style Wide Spur hammer and the Mil-Spec style Thumb Safety? Im wanting them for my S/A G.I. .45 1911-A1. Thanks.

***Update*** I found the Wide Spur Hammer over on Numrich Arms for $16.35. But I am curious as to the quality of it. Would it be just a replacement part or something of a higher aftermarket grade?

It's a replacement part but the quality is OK.

It might be tough to find an original wide spur GI hammer and stock safety anywhere but Numrich or Sarco. There are a lot of milspec parts guys at Gun shows though.

You might try Brownells too. http://www.brownells.com/

    Sarco is http://www.sarcoinc.com/
