    Thanks for posting a photo.

It's a smokeless powder model made after 1908, but caliber and year made can not be determined from your photo:

The serial number and letter prefix on frame under the left grip will be needed to determine further details.

Please remove the left grip panel and take another photo.
If the number there is just 945 with no letter prefix, it may be a special order gun.

Also list the patent dates and where they are marked.

Thanks, but unfortunately that adds to the mystery! With no serial number and letter prefix in normal position on left grip frame, I can only guess it was a special order, but there are no obvious special order features such as extra long barrel or special grips. And without the letter code, I can't even tell if it's a small or large frame model.

If you will list the patent dates and where they are marked, it will help identify model and date span made.

    Caliber? The chambers of a .32 measure about 5/16" and a .38 about 3/8"

Zooming it up to he highest level, it looks as if the numbers were there but are either filled in or removed.

Hey guys. Very difficult to tell by these pics so I can only say I'm 99% sure it's a small frame .32, I know that isn't much help.
Nice looking piece. You may be able to find the grip and front sight at Numrich gun parts. If your handy you can make one for a nickle.
