When I bought my Ruger GP 100, I got a nylon holster for it. haven't used it all that much, but every time it's been a little hard to draw the gun from it. I figured at first that it was just catching on the seams, but now I'm thinking it's a little more than that. I discovered that there was a small piece of round fabric inside, sticky on one side, which was there to cover the inside of the snap. It came off in a ball of sticky mess last time, so there's no way to reinsert it. Any ideas how to handle this? There aren't any sharp edges there, but I'd rather not take a chance of the gun getting scratched, either. Not sure if it'll be possible to sew something in place of it because it's pretty far inside the holster. Just thought maybe someone would have a better idea than that!
My wife repaired a case I had for my mossberg shotgun. She used a a spray fabric adhesive she got at a fabric store. I thought she would need to sew it to but it has held for over a year. Spray it on the fabric 1st. Then get it in the holster where you need it. I bet it will work.

I don't think I even knew spray fabric adhesive existed! I might give that a try - thanks!
Double D - I knew someone would chime in telling me to replace it. It's only about 6 months old, and I bought it because after paying for the gun, that's all the bank could afford. I hate replacing and re-buying unless there's really no way around it. Probably still haven't learned the idea that if you buy the "good" stuff first, it's better, but it makes me feel better to spend less. Anyway, I may take you advice, but not just yet!
My father always told me that if I couldn't afford the good stuff this week, wait till next week when you can. I live by that. I have tools that I've owned for 20+ yrs.

This is the very reason that those of us that have been carring for a while, have at least one box full of holster we don't use, and maybe more. I'll vote with DD on this one! If I had started out with the best, I would now only have maybe 1/2 a box full of holsters I don't use. And I do understand about the $$.

I have a box full of fobus holsters left over from when I closed my gun shop. Tomorrow I will dump them out and see if I have one for a GP 100 and if I do I will send it to you no charge...

I agree with DD, and replace it.
IMO, if your carrying and it is a VERY serious thing to be carrying as your life may depend on getting your gun out of your holster, it's not something to "go short" on...just my opinion.
As all mentioned above, it takes "some" time to find the "right" carry holster that will work well with any individual.
