    Good Day,

Have any of you folks built, or bought, a horizontal gun cabinet? I'd actually like to find a source of plans or blue-prints. Any input appreciated;)

    God Bless

I have a friend that built a coffee table gun cabinet. He didn't use any plans, just built it as he went along. He used old barn wood. It only stores 5 long guns and a few pistols. You may consider that. Nothing like hiding in plain sight.

Mine looks likes a wine rack for 4 foot long wine bottles. It's for storage, not display, but you didn't mention which style you were looking for.

Hey old semerfi, I have a question on this concerning the cedar.
Would the cedar wood cause any type of like corrosion to any metal or such? That might be a stupid question, but one worth asking for me, because I have always wondered about that, I have a nice Cedar chest and somewhat airtight and I always wondered if that would have any affect on hand guns and what not?

    Hello all,

Thanks so much for your input. Haven't quite got there, but if I spend $49.00, looks like the ole' boy has a couple dozen plans. Hmmmmmm!:D

I love woodworking and am a rank ameteur but when I build anything I dont have plans. I just see something I like and cut away all the wood that doesnt look like what I saw and I end up with what I want. I like that coffee table gun rack idea. Sounds like a good project.
