It looks like a shell for an old Krupp mountain gun. What is it?

Actually it's Japanese. I dont know for sure, but it may be for those little field guns they liked to drag around.

When not trying to reload them, I use them for brushes, they have heavy bases so dont fall over!

I know the ones. There were lots of them on display on bases throughout the Pacific rim.

I don't want to be behind it when it goes off. I could only afford to load it about once a year for a double rifle.

A bit recoil shy? I understand. Dont worry, I figured about 14,000 grains of a slow burning powder should keep it mild enough to shoulder. :)

Whoa, I'm gonna need a big ol' mess of dumplings to go with one of them squirrels. What's the bag limit, all you got the guts to try to kill?

Back to the double rifle, you put two of those bullets in two of those cases (one each of course) over two pounds of powder each and then are able to shoulder it? Recoil ain't gonna be a problem, bro.
