"Long Branch" MK4, No1 with Bayonet/Scabard and 4 magazines... 1944 and is accurate ~ It's Issue with no modifications. Got mine back in 1987 for the poultry sum of $60.00. So Goes "Inflation !"

libraryguy, That's a nice looking Radio in the image you posted in October of 2006. :) What brand is it and I suspect ... say about 1930's date ???

    MJ1 is the LE Guru.
What a foxy brood of babes you have.

Do the two hand guard pieces normally match the wood just beneath, on most #4s?

Guru? No not even close. I learn something new every day about Enfields.

Here is a 1942 Savage with the 20X Scout. Reg. spotting scope.

Don't know how to use cameras with computers, but bought a third LE:
    a really nice all-matching #5, my second.

GA1911: Thanks very much. After reading your link, it appears that the upper left area of the elevated sight with the single letter "B" indicates BSA?
    Serial: "V 540".

First one was an Ishipore 2a that I got because it was a cheap milsurp. 308. It sat quietly in the safe for about six months, don't think I even fired it. Then a guy at the Rock Springs show got me to bite on a Long Branch (again cheap).I can't explain it but the bug hit. A Lithgow from a pawn shop in SLC. A Savage from Gun Broker.Another Lithgow from another Ut. show. A MkV from a show in Marbleton Wy. All told I went from two to six in less than two months. The only one that was made in Eng. is the only that really cost me , the Mk V.
About that time common sense (SWMBO) came into play, but I think I have most of the bases covered. Besides then I discovered the 6.5 Grendel.

This summer I picked up a No.1 Mk III at the Indy 1500 show to replace a $50 1943 BSA dog I had. Couldn't pass it up for $150. For awhile Enfields of this model and No.4's were bringing over $300. I thought it was unit marked because it said "LSA Co. L". Come to find out it's a London Small Arms Company, Limited dated 1917. Up until then I'd never heard of this maker. Somewhere I read where it's a harder to find maker. I'm happy!
