I've been working on 125 gr and 150 gr Sierra spitzers in my 30-30 single shot rifle, and have not had much good luck.
My goal was to get a round that would group under an inch at 100.
    The powders I have are IMR4198 & 4064, W760, and W748.
    Any suggestions.
I'm using CCI 200 LR primers, Winchester brass.
The Books I have are Lee reloading, New Lyman, Nosler, Sierra 4th edition.
    I need help.

Well, please let us know what the rifle is. Have you ever slugged the barrel to find out what the actual diameter is? Also, check the muzzle crown for any nicks or ding. If there are nicks and dings, you will need to have the rifle recrowned. Small change jod for a gunsmith.

I have a Winchester 94 in which I use Winchester LR primers, Winchester brass and IMR-3031 powder behind a 170 gr flat nose and it will do 1 1/2 inches at 100 yards. This is plenty good for hunting. I like heavier bullets.
