I'm voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I'm voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

I'm voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq
I trust that the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday
CAN tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

I'm voting Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies
so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves.
They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution
    as THEY see fit.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe three or four pointy headed elitist liberals need to rewrite the Constitution every few days
to suit some fringe kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the voters.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that when the terrorists don't have to hide from us over there,
when they come over here I don't want to have any guns in the house to fight them off with.

I'm voting Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want.
I've decided to marry my horse.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene
but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

Makes ya wonder why anyone would EVER vote Republican, now doesn't it?
  2. Good one, Al! And oh so very true! The airheads in this country, who now seem to be in the majority, will vote themselves bread and circuses come November, and we can kiss the Republic so many of us fought for, and some of us died for, goodbye. :(

Thanks for sharing that! I just copy & pasted it to my close friends who are able to think for themselves and understand that the role of government is not to act as my surrogate parent.

    Re: I'm Voting Republican

    Everybody's got an opinion:

    I’m Voting Republican!

I’m voting Republican because 1% of the population controls 80% of the wealth in this country and I LIKE it that way!

I’m voting Republican because I LOVE children. Until they’re actually born. Then screw ‘em. They can look out for themselves.

I’m voting Republican because I believe in one-nation-under-one-blond-blue-eyed-Jesus-God-Amen! Heil! Um…nevermind.

I’m voting Republican because I intend to follow the example of our candidate and marry a much hotter, rich, 2nd wife. (Don’t worry. I, too, will wait 4 weeks after the divorce to get re-married. That’s because I’m a family man.)

I’m voting Republican because I want to get over $100,000 in campaign contributions from people responsible for the Savings & Loan disaster (Charles Keating); and know that I’ll vote with my conscience.

I’m voting Republican because I want to forget how many houses I have.

I’m voting Republican because I’ve been in jail for 6 years and that makes me a leader.

I’m voting Republican because I believe that the guy that graduates dead last in medical school is still a doctor. (John McCain, 1958 Annapolis Grad, 894 out of 899)

I’m voting Republican because clean water and air are silly luxuries. Big businesses know what’s best, just let ‘em go!

I’m voting Republican because gas in my town is costs 1/3 of what it does in Europe, but it’s still too much. Drill more dammit! And bring me a Hummer!

I’m voting Republican because it’s the lesser evil. Better a chick as a VP than a black president. She can cook and clean. He’ll just steal the hubcaps off Air Force One.

I’m voting Republican because after the last 8 years I believe that the economy, foreign policy and world opinion of the U.S. hasn’t QUITE hit bottom…but we CAN get there!

    McCain & Palin ’08!!

    Re: I'm Voting Republican

And most of those 1% contribute heavily and vote Democrat
Actually, we'd rather their parents (note the plural) care for them, instead of underpaid, underqualified, faceless bureaucrats.
[sarcasm]Yes, so intellectual to compare your opponents to Nazis, even obliquely. [/sarcasm]
Better than following the example of a former Democrat candidate and cheat on your wife while she's dying of cancer.

Oh, wait. I'm sorry. When it's a Democrat, their sex life isn't supposed to affect their politics, is it? Only Republicans have to have perfect morals in your world.
Better than voting for a candidate whose campaign workers put pictures of murderous Communists on the walls of the campaign headquarters.
At least he was in jail for a good reason, such as fighting for his country. Being a community organizer is better, how?
How about a guy that has never authored a bill in his life and hasn't shown up for over half of his term and still calls himself "Senator?"
Oh, that's right. Running around in all those jets, giving speeches about "Global Warming" and letting your gas-guzzling limousine idle outside while giving one of those speeches is just OH so eco-friendly, etc.
What's wrong with wanting lower gas prices? Just because Europeans are stupid enough to pay that much, why must we compare ourselves to them?
...and she has experience and she is pro-gun and she is smarter and she has a record of actually doing things, rather than just talking about things.

Ever thought that maybe it's not the color of his skin but his stance on the issues, or are you just that much of a racist that you automatically assume that's why we don't like Obama?
And sucking up to countries that have ALWAYS been poor in support of the US is a good thing, how?

Cool. An actual debate. Okay. Here we go:
And most of those 1% contribute heavily and vote Democrat
Um..no. Check your stats. As a rule, really wealthy people (billions, not millions) tend to vote conservative. Just as an example: Susan & Michael Dell (current wealth $18 billion) gave $250,000 to the campaign of G.W. Bush. So did Sheldon Adelson (current wealth $21 billion); he also founded the 527 lobbying group “Freedom’s Watch” with the intent to raise $250 million to attack Obama’s presidential campaign.

Actually, we'd rather their parents (note the plural) care for them, instead of underpaid, underqualified, faceless bureaucrats.
Me too! But, if the parents don’t want them or aren’t prepared to be parents, then what? Be honest, now. Have you adopted a kid? 2? 3? Why not? Can’t afford to? Don’t want to? If you have, my hat’s off to you, and I’ll shut up. If not, there’s plenty of unwanted kids out there.

[sarcasm]Yes, so intellectual to compare your opponents to Nazis, even obliquely. [/sarcasm]
*sigh* Some people just do NOT get sarcasm. This is “exaggeration for effect.” And, yes, thanks, I think it’s pretty intellectual. My point is to highlight the many conservative claims of the U.S. as a Christian nation. It is not. The U.S. was founded as a secular government. The word “God” appears nowhere in the Constitution for a reason. The founders did NOT want a single “state” religion, which is why we have the 1st Amendment saying: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”

Oh, wait. I'm sorry. When it's a Democrat, their sex life isn't supposed to affect their politics, is it? Only Republicans have to have perfect morals in your world.
Nope. Democrats screw up and screw around too. (Monica Lewinsky, Gennifer Flowers, remember?) But Republicans are always yapping about “family values” and “American morals”. I’m just pointing out that if ya talk the talk, ya better walk the walk. Or at least not get caught. (Mark Foley, gay Congressional page hunter; Ted Haggard, male prostitutes and crystal meth; Larry Craig, soliciting gay sex in a men’s room – from an undercover cop, no less!)

Better than voting for a candidate whose campaign workers put pictures of murderous Communists on the walls of the campaign headquarters.
Huh? :confused:He’s got a pic of Mao Tse Tung? Ho Chi Minh?

At least he was in jail for a good reason, such as fighting for his country. Being a community organizer is better, how?
It’s not. I respect McCain’s duty. And his sacrifice. I’m a veteran myself. I’m not putting him down. BUT, being a prisoner 30 years ago isn’t executive experience. He keeps bringing it up. Yes. He was a POW. Got it. I respect that. Now move on to the issues.

How about a guy that has never authored a bill in his life and hasn't shown up for over half of his term and still calls himself "Senator?"
Don’t know. Vote for him and let’s find out.

Oh, that's right. Running around in all those jets, giving speeches about "Global Warming" and letting your gas-guzzling limousine idle outside while giving one of those speeches is just OH so eco-friendly, etc.
There are approximately 250 million cars in the U.S. alone. Planes aren’t the problem. The car is left running for all Presidential candidates in case rapid evac is necessary. “Global Warming”? Damned if I know. But I know what the Love Canal looks like. Or when Pacific Gas poisoned the town of Hinkley, CA with hexavalent chromium (the Erin Brockovich movie, true story). Corporations have their eye on the $, not always on the consumer.

What's wrong with wanting lower gas prices? Just because Europeans are stupid enough to pay that much, why must we compare ourselves to them?
Wanting? Nothing wrong with wanting. I want a Ferrari. And Jenna Jameson. Together. With beer. And a pizza. :D
Europeans drive more economical vehicles. They have finally gotten the idea that the oil won’t last forever. Eventually we’ll run out. We need to start acting on that possibility.

Ever thought that maybe it's not the color of his skin but his stance on the issues, or are you just that much of a racist that you automatically assume that's why we don't like Obama?
See above: “exaggeration for effect.” *sigh* , again. I’m gonna stop being sarcastic, I swear. People just don’t get it.
Actually, one of the most racist guys I’ve ever met is my uncle. But at least he’s honest. He’ll say, “I won’t vote for a ni**er.” I hate that ****. It’s stupid and narrow-minded. But I really hate when people dance around their prejudice instead of just confronting it.

And sucking up to countries that have ALWAYS been poor in support of the US is a good thing, how?
It’s not. But ask yourself a question: What does the rest of the world think of the U.S.? Who can we count on? I’m not asking to be liked. I’d settle for a little less hate. In 8 years, is there any country you can think of where the overall opinion of the U.S. has gotten better?

I thought John Kerry saw the light and became a republican.

If B-Rock needs to know just ask Tony Resco, when he gets out that is.

Right on, death bunny at least some one disagrees. The election doesn't ever come down to one issue. If it came down to being all about guns I would vote republican. I just tend to think their views on everything else is F***ed. I just vote for the lesser of two evils. I've never voted a straight ticket one way or the other, I vote for one candidate for their views on the most important issues.
