In your opinion, what company makes the best custom 1911

    Consider you can have any 1911 you want, and you don't have to shell out the cash for it. What would you buy?

    For custom I want an Ruger SR1911. I love the stainless and black look and its got the features I want.

    Nice choice worm, but I would take a Kimber Super Carry, either Ultra or Custom HD.

    There are quite a few good 1911's out there.

    When I was looking for another 1911, I had narrowed it down to a Ed Brown, Wilson, or Les Baer. Ended up with the Les Baer, and was NOT unhappy. It preformed flawlessly (well, except for the mag springs) all season. Would not hesitate to get another one, but I would probably get one of the other two.

    You know, been there, done that. Try something else.

    You all know that Nighthawk Custom was started by a former Wilson Combat employee, don't cha;) That's probably were he gets his sense of inflated prices.;)
