40 Degrees out side this morning and that is cold around here. I think I will have to get dressed so I can slip off to the gun room. Carla said I was taking her to town so she could shop but she is still sleeping and I am going to let her sleep till noon :D:D
  2. Well Ron, it's snowing here and supposed to continue until this evening. It's not supposed to get above about 32 here today. :D;)

40 cold? LOL LOL. having been in FL when it's down in the 50's i can imagine how you folks handle the 40's. Got our first ground cover of snow this past week and it's still there. High's in the 30's today - maybe.

We got our first snow last night, and I expect it should be gone once the sun gets up.
  5. Ron, maybe it's time to break out some of that corn liquor you've been hiding in your new gun room. :D;)

We are having a heat wave. :D
  7. You getting any snow, Pick? We're supposed to get 4-6 inches here in Canon according to the weather report I listened to last evening.

Yeah it's getting fall-time chilly alright. It got down to 10* here last night but we've climbed up to our high of 31* (26* w/wind chill) now and we're supposed to get some snow flurries.
We only have an inch of snow on the ground at my house but not far away at my younger sister's (16 miles) there's four inches. Not too much further and there's a foot and the high peaks have two feet and better.

    Pistol,
Just now started snowing. Don't think we will get much though.

    Bruce,
I don't put my shorts away, I wear them year round.
My neighbor thinks I'm nuts, she had to take a picture of me last winter. I was BBQ outside, and sitting in my lounge chair, with 2 feet of snow on the ground, in my shorts. Course, I may be a "little" nuts. :D
    No, NOT undershorts.
  12. It's been snowing here since this morning, Pick, though there was a break in it around noon. Now it's started up again, and it's getting colder.

I'm the same way Pick, shorts all year round.

It's in the 30's here today, down to 19 early this AM. No Snow as of yet tho.

    That's fine with me.

Good evening Gentlemen, it got down to 12 here in Cedar county, Iowa last night. It snowed Wednesday, only about 1", just enough to get the oldest son all excited. I made a snowball and put it in the freezer and let the twins play with it. First snow they can remember. Little Danny, screamed and ran away from it holding his frosted little fingers, but his brother Dean wanted to eat the thing! Typical 2 year old, either in the mouth, or it gets thrown! Stay warm!

But what about the Shrinkage?! :D:eek:

Actuallly 40 is pretty cool for me. I don't have much insulation! :)

I don't mind what the temp is outside. If I am dressed for it, I'll play outside till dark.

Hey Ron, I shot a nice buck this evening and by the time I had him field dressed the blood on the hide was froze. Yea its getting cooler here. Oh well now my Deer season is over I can sit by the fireside. Dang did I mention I Love to Hunt?:D catfish
  17. All you need to go with that fire and easy chair, Cat, is a nice snifter of cognac. Might I suggest a fine Hennessy Five Star, or perhaps a Courvoisier? A Grand Marnier wouldn't be too shabby either! :D;)

Ron, let's see, it's down in the teens here, and not supposed to get much above 35 tomorrow. When ya moving to Colorado? :D;):p

44 here with about 68 % humidity and that is a damp wet cold that chills to the bone:( I have lived and worked in much colder places like Idaho, Washington and Alaska but the moisture wasn't in the air so it didn't feel as cold. It is like the heat, when the air is dry it isn't as bad as when there is a 90 degree day with 98 % humidity, it just feels hotter :confused:
Maybe it doesn't make much sense to the folks that have never been in different climates but it does feel different. ;)
