I just purchased a Iver Johnson that I would like to find out more info on the serial #. Under the left grip reads H38378. I can't make out the numbers on the trigger guard. Does anyone have any info on this revolver?
Any and all info would be great.

Welcome to the forum, but more details are needed, as serial number H38378 could be either a small frame hammerless .32 S&W caliber made in 1903 for black powder ammo, or a large frame hammer model .38 S&W caliber made in 1921 for smokeless ammo.

It has a 4" barrel, all nickel, owl grips and it has the hammer.
Let me know if you need me to send a picture.

If it has the hammer and you copied the serial number correctly, it can only be the .38 made in 1921.

But to post your photo here, click on the Go Advanced tab below the reply screen, then under Additional Options click on the Manage Attachments tab, and browse to find and upload your photo.

Yeah I checked the ammo today and it is a 38 S&W.
Thanks so much for your help!
