I've had this firearm for nearly 35 years. My uncle gave it to me saying it was a nice revolver and I should hold on to it. I've never fired it and only recently became interested in it. Only (obvious) markings are the Iver Johnson's name and company location on top of the barrel. It has a nice chrome finish (original finish removed?). All I know. Thanks in advance.

    U.S.of A.

Based on your pics; you have a Iver Johnson Safety Hammerless.
From the size of the cylinder; it is not a .22; either .32 (6 shot); or a .38 S&W (5 shot).
The finish appears to be nickle plated.

    Made from 1892 - 1950.

Without further info (caliber; serial#) that's about it.

this is a third model (1909-1941) small frame 32 S&W caliber "safety automatic hammer revolver" with about a 5inch barrel. look under the grip panels for a serial number and letter code prefix. with that i should be able to give the year of manufacture.
