That is all the writing on the gun. It is located on the left side of barrel. The gun is clean and shoots perfectly. It has a Remington butt pad that has been cut down to sort of fit. I gave $110.00.
Any ideas as to production date?
Where can I find any detailed history on the gun?
Anyone got an original butt pad to sell? Numrich does not have one.
Also, I am in the market for a peep sight for it. I think they were offered on the gun when bought new.

Thanks for any and all help.

See if Numrich has parts for a Marlin Model 81--its the same gun. You probably paid a bit much for it--store branded guns bring less than the identical gun with manufacturer's name brand. Sometime around 1960, the J.C. Higgins name was dropped in favor of Ted Williams, so yours precedes that--maybe by 20 years or more.
